Research: Future of Renewable Energy Spending

Some sources predict that renewable energy spending (for wind, solar, hydrogen, geothermal) will exceed that for non-renewables as soon as 2021.

Goldman estimates investments in renewables increasing to $16 trillion in the next decade: https://www.msn.com/en-us/finance/savingandinvesting/goldman-sachs-says-renewable-energy-spending-will-surpass-oil-and-gas-for-the-first-time-ever-in-2021-e2-80-94-and-sees-total-investment-spiking-to-2416-trillion-over-the-next-decade/ar-BB15Cbn2?ocid=uxbndlbing

This is incredibly welcome news, and likely has to do with the decrease in transportation around the world due to COVID-19. Global emergencies and climate catastrophes will only become more frequent as the planet warms up, therefore it’s past time to be making hefty investments in renewables.
